till death do they part

don't judge me, but the other night at my cousin becca's wedding reception they had big jars of these suckers sitting out for everyone to have. while i was walking back to my table with a variety of flavors to share with everyone, max was able to grab one out of my hand and get it in his mouth before i could even realize what he was doing. as i went to take it out of his mouth i was shocked because i have never seen a baby freak out like this. he immediately started screaming and crying, his face turned bright red, and he was arching his back so badly that i almost dropped him. anyone within a 50 foot radius turned to look at what was going on and i got so nervous from all the staring and attention that i just gave the sucker back. plus, i was getting the look from my grandma jo, (those of you who don't know.. it's an intense look of disgust) and she started yelling at me "it's not gonna poison him lori." (if she had it her way i'd be feeding him roast beef and chocolate pudding every night..she's appalled i don't feed him table food yet).
i wasn't able to get the sucker out of his hand until 20 minutes later when i put him in the bath. i think it was the best 20 minutes of his life so far.

that bow tie and those eyes...i'm dying!!
lily had her first sucker too, on halloween. after sticking it in my hair, on her costume, and dragging it on the carpet i decided to take it away. let's just say i'm familiar with that reaction!

well, if we went by what gg jo says, we wouldn't use high chairs, car seats, or disposable diapers and we would breast feed while we were driving. so i think out of all those things, you should stick with a sucker.
